All students that undertake nationally recognised training require a USI in order for the training provider to be able to issue a qualification or statement of attainment. The USI creates a secure online record of training you have done since obtaining a USI. If you have completed training since January 2015 you may already have a USI.

By submitting this application, I declare that:

  1. I understand that this application is non-binding and does not commit the course provider to offer me a place in a programme, nor does it commit me to accept a place in a programme.
  2. I have read and understood the course web page and/or prospectus and have sought sufficient information to make an informed programme selection. I understand the financial commitment, inclusions, and exclusions of my selected programme.
  3. I understand that I will be advised if I am not eligible to join the course and will receive advice on alternative options as available.
  4. All enrolments are accepted subject to a minimum number in a course.
  5. I agree with the Privacy Policy.
  6. By submitting this application, I give my permission for the course provider to contact me via electronic mail and SMS messages and obtain additional education records (enrolment, assessment, certification) from third parties.
  7. I have sufficient funds to undertake the programme for which I am applying. (Non-funded programmes only).
  8. I am not on an Australian student visa, nor on any other visa type that does not have appropriate study rights assigned.
  9. The information provided in this application is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.

Shared Information

Information is collected on this form and during your enrolment to meet our obligations as a Registered Training Organisation and/or under the ESOS Act and the National Code 2007; to ensure student compliance with the conditions of their visas and their obligations under Australian immigration laws generally. The authority to collect this information is contained in the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, the Education Services for Overseas Students Regulations 2001, and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2017. Information collected about you on this form and during your enrolment can be provided, in certain circumstances, to the Australian Government and designated authorities, and, if relevant, the Australian Skills Quality Authority, Overseas Student Tuition Fund Manager in the Tuition Protection Service department. In other instances, information collected on this form or during your enrolment can be disclosed without your consent where authorized or required by law. We use students’ personal information (such as name, address, attendance records, and results) for general student administration as well as for planning, communication, research, evaluation, and marketing activities undertaken by us. Only authorised departmental officers have access to this information. It is your obligation to notify us of a change of address and contact details while enrolled in the course.

 

Privacy and Information Handling

Why we collect your personal information: As a registered training organisation (RTO), we collect your personal information so we can process and manage your enrolment in a vocational education and training (VET) course with us.

 

How we use your personal information: We use your personal information to enable us to deliver VET courses to you, and otherwise, as needed, to comply with our obligations as an RTO.

 

How we disclose your personal information: We are required by law (under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act) to disclose the personal information we collect about you to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing, and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector.

 

We are also authorised by law (under the NVETR Act) to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority.

 

How the NCVER and other bodies handle your personal information: The NCVER will collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed by NCVER for purposes that include populating authenticated VET transcripts; administration of VET; facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage; and understanding the VET market.

 

The NCVER is authorised to disclose information to the Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE), Commonwealth authorities, State and Territory authorities (other than registered training organisations) that deal with matters relating to VET and VET regulators for the purposes of those bodies, including to enable:

 

  • Administration of VET, including program administration, regulation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage.
  • Understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning, and consumer information.

 

The NCVER may also disclose personal information to persons engaged by NCVER to conduct research on NCVER’s behalf. The NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients. If you would like to seek access to or correct your information, in the first instance, please lodge a request via our Student Services Department. DESE is authorised by law, including the Privacy Act and the NVETR Act, to collect, use, and disclose your personal information to fulfil specified functions and activities. For more information about how the DESE will handle your personal information, please refer to the DESE VET Privacy Notice at their website. Please refer to the additional State or Territory Authority Privacy Notice included in this application process should this be relevant to your application.

 

Payment of Fees (Non-funded programmes only)

 

  1. Unless advised otherwise, tuition and non-tuition fees are as described in the relevant course web page.
  2. Students will not be allowed to commence studies until all applicable fees are paid. A late payment penalty of $50 may apply if any mandatory fees are not paid by the due date.

 

Refunds (Non-funded programmes only)

 

  1. Prior to the published census date for the course, if you withdraw from your course for any reason, we shall refund the tuition fees for the study period and any pre-paid future study periods.
  2. After the published census date for the course, tuition fees for the scheduled study period for which you have paid become non-refundable, except where extenuating circumstances have been established and approved.
  3. If you have paid in advance any tuition fees for subsequent scheduled study periods, we will refund these tuition fees in full.
  4. If we are unable to deliver the course, all fees shall be refunded in full.
  5. All requests for refunds must be made in writing to the Student Administration Manager on the appropriate Refund Request Form.
  6. All requests for refunds or credit transfers are subject to approval by the Student Administration Manager.
  7. You can apply for a refund at any time, but you must allow enough time for us to process your application. We will approve/reject and respond to the request for a refund within 14 days after receiving the written request. Approved refunds will be remitted within a further 14 days (total 28 days).
  8. Refunds will be remitted to the person who entered into the contract unless alternative arrangements are requested by this person in writing.

 

Media Waiver

 

Unless you notify us in writing otherwise, (a) you permit us and our licensees or assignees to capture photograph(s) and/or video(s) and use them and/or drawings therefrom and any other reproductions or adaptations therefrom either complete or in part, alone or in conjunction with any wording and/or drawings for all uses deemed suitable by us including publicity and/or merchandising and/or commercial purposes and/or editorial purposes in any country and; (b) you agree that the photograph(s), video(s) and any drawings or adaptations thereof shall be deemed to represent an imaginary person, and; (c) you understand that you do not have any interest in the copyright to the photograph(s) and/or video(s) nor shall you claim compensation.

 

Plagiarism

 

I understand and agree that:

  1. Plagiarism is the act of using someone else’s work or ideas without proper acknowledgment. This includes copying text, ideas, images, or data from the internet, books, articles, or other students without proper citation.
  2. All students must submit work that is their own and properly reference any sources used.
  3. Any student found guilty of plagiarism will face disciplinary action, which may include failing the assignment, failing the course, or being expelled from the program.
  4. To avoid plagiarism, students should ensure they understand how to reference properly and seek guidance if unsure. Educational resources and support on plagiarism and referencing are available on our website and from the Student Services Department.

 

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

 

This agreement, and the availability of complaints and appeals processes, does not remove the right of the student to take action under Australia’s consumer protection laws. By signing this Agreement, you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of this agreement, accept the offer of a place in a course, and will pay your fees as scheduled. By submitting this application you confirm that:

  1. You have read and understood the detailed information provided on the relevant course page and sought advice where required.
  2. You have read, understood, and agree with the terms herein.
  3. You have read and understood the relevant policies and procedures available on our website.
  4. The information and supporting documentation you have provided with your application, and any information and supporting documentation you present to us, is to the best of your knowledge genuine, true, and accurate. You understand that misrepresentation is a serious offence that can lead to suspension or cancellation of your enrolment.
  5. You agree to keep us informed regarding your correct address and contact details, including your email address and phone number.
